| Oopps...haven't posted anything for so long! But today I got inspired to post a little bit about God's message for me during this month. They are summarized in three descriptors: - Be strong
- keep His commands
- will prosper
In 1 Kings 2:2-3 "So be strong, show yourself a man, 3 and observe what the LORD your God requires : Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go" In 1 Kings 14:8 God praises his servant David: "who kept my commands and followed me with all his heart, doing only what was right in my eyes" In Joshua 1:7-8 "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous . Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." In Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
The devos reminded me that God's plan for us is very simple, He wants us to walk his way and do all his will (what he requires us to do). Unfortunately, sometimes we get very complicated and dramatic with serving at church, school, work, family, relationships, future, life, etc. We are overwhelmed with all these things, and they become our stress. These verses reminds me once again that God is under control of all these things, He wants us to focus on Him...that's it. Do his mission and obey him. If we do this, we'll be succesful and prosperous, because He will be with us always!!! |
